What To Expect
Being well-prepared for your appointment will ensure that the doctor has all of the needed information to provide the best possible care for you. If you are having a skin exam please do not wear make-up on the area(s) to be examined. You can educate yourself on your symptoms by reviewing the content on this Web site. We look forward to your first visit.
Please remember that we have multiple providers at all our locations. You may not be called back to an exam room in the order you checked in.
We know you have many choices when choosing a dermatologist in Winston-Salem, NC so we have made requesting an appointment a simple and convenient process via our Web site. If, for any reason, you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, or will be delayed, please call us as soon as possible. We require a minimum of 24 hours advance notice to avoid a no-show fee.
We will call and text you reminders for your appointment. If you want to opt out of the reminder calls, please inform our check-in staff when you are here for your appointment. Remember, we require a minimum of 24 hours advance notice of cancellation to avoid a no-show fee.
Insurance and Billing
We accept most traditional insurance plans and will bill your insurance carrier(s) on your behalf. If you are unsure whether or not we are in network with your plan, please contact your insurance company so they can give you information specific to your plan. Please note that many insurances cover our practice as a whole, rather than each individual provider by name. Procedures may be processed differently than office visits by your insurance company; this is dependent upon your individual plan.
Copays are collected up front at check-in. Insurance companies require us to collect copays at time of service. Deductibles and coinsurances are collected at check-out. Payments for surgical appointments are collected at check-in the day of surgery. If you do not have your copay or surgical payment at the time of check-in your appointment will be rescheduled. Payments may be made by check, cash or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover). P lease call our Winston Salem office (360) 768-1280 to speak to one of our Financial Coordinators BEFORE your visit if you will be unable to pay at time of service.

You will need information that is printed on your mailed statement in order to make an online payment. You may also navigate to the payment site by entering MyProviderLink.com in your browser's address bar. Payments can be made with credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) or electronic check. For subsequent visits, if you would like your minor child to be seen without a parent or guardian present please fill out a "Consent to treat minor patient" form. This form can be found by clicking the Patient Forms link in the middle of this page. You may also request this form from our Check-in staff. Consents are valid for 12 months and must be renewed.
